“Someone is sitting in the shade today because
someone planted a tree a long time ago.”

Any thriving mentoring program is an investment in the future of any business. When you know that your employees are receiving the guidance and support they require you will also find increased job satisfaction and employee engagement leading to improved retention.
Creating a mentor program that will provide the organization with the best knowledge transfer, connectedness and enhanced productivity requires five important disciplines. A mentor program is most effective when it is customized to the culture and moirés of each individual business. Therefore, Corepoint does not engage in “off the shelf products” but engages in a holistic approach involving opinion leaders, the objectives as defined by the company and also includes important concepts that are specific to each company where we are engaged.
(1) Opinion Leader Engagement – after initial consultation, we will engage your opinion leaders to identify key learnings, existing culture, perceived and actual objectives and seek to fully understand how the organization delivers employee engagement initiatives.
(2) Collaborative Program Development – working with employees within the organization, we are able to understand how an organization truly functions – what works, what doesn’t, how employees feel about their own career development/engagement and also address the organizational readiness in regards to diversity initiatives if appropriate. Based on company structure, number of employees, identification of long and short range goals, we will develop the program that best meets the needs.
(3) Customized Training – either, stand alone or in conjunction with an organizations’ own Learning & Development division, we will customize training to be delivered via classroom, conference call, webinars or online modules. The training can include a variety of elements, most clients elect to include culture, mentor/mentee guidelines, expectations, best practices, tools and examples of how the mentor process works. Training can be delivered by Corepoint or a client trainer (train the trainer option available).
(4) Meaningful Feedback – during the program development, various types of feedback tools will be discussed. These tools are easily customizable to any situation, company or group. The process of ongoing free-flowing feedback is integral to the successful execution of any mentor program.
(5) Key Measurements – in order to understand the tangible impact a mentor program provides, periodic measurement is an important component before, during and after the engagement of mentor and mentee. Measurements can be customized and best practices are utilized. Regular engagement on a periodic basis to assess key measurement validity is provided by Corepoint for up to one year post implementation of any mentor program.
